Montagnole dei Giardini Pubblici, five years of degradation

Montagnole of the Public Gardens increasingly degraded: reported by Giorgio Everet, former councilor of Forza Italia, today alongside Alessandro Portesani for the next administrative elections. The theme of urban decorum will be predominant in this electoral campaign and the former councilor goes on the attack. “For five years – he states – they have been closed and fenced as they are dangerous due to falling fragments. The hills are part of the life of the people of Cremona, but to date there is no news of when this “expropriation” will end. It is true that the Superintendency is involved and therefore we cannot move without its guidance. But if the Municipality doesn’t even start the process to restore everything, it’s not surprising if we are still at the same point as five years ago.”
“Five years – he adds – remain a long time to be able to fix such a central corner of the city. Normally eighteen months would be enough to make it accessible again, especially since the fence can be easily climbed over, the barriers have been moved and anyone can enter, especially for illicit activities. In summary: no maintenance, no checks, no safety, I don’t think the citizens of Cremona deserve this.”
