Gds: “Palermo. Heist at the restaurant, 70 thousand euros stolen”

Today’s edition of “Il Giornale di Sicilia” focuses on the 70 thousand euro heist at the Rossopomodoro restaurant.

Nocturnal heist with 70 thousand euro loot at the Rossopomodoro restaurant in the Brancaccio Forum. The thieves managed to get into action without setting off the alarms, they set to work with a flex to open the safe and got their hands on the money. A raid by professionals, achieved perhaps also thanks to the precious guidance of an inside hand.

The theft is now being investigated by the police, who were called by the staff yesterday morning when the restaurant reopened. The officers acquired the images recorded by the video surveillance cameras which show the phases of the attack. Three hooded men who arrived in the shopping center with a stolen car went into action (it was later found in Brancaccio).

The criminals, after having forced a glass door, entered Rossopomodoro and without fail reached the room where the safe is installed, anchored to the floor with pins.. With the flex they started operations to undermine it and take the money. Having grabbed the loot, the thieves gained the exit, got into the car and fled, being very careful not to cross paths with the Forum security staff. After a while, they abandoned the car and reached a safe place.
