The former fruit and vegetable market in Modica is preparing to change its face
Descriptive text here

The redevelopment works of what is now the former fruit and vegetable market of Modica have been delivered. Yesterday in the presence, among others, of the Mayor and the councilor for public works, Antonio Drago, the formal delivery took place. A green space will be created at the former market in Viale Medaglie d’Oro. “This will be, stated Mayor Monisteri, a place that will become a meeting point for them, in the heart of our city and above all an area where the children (but also older adults) will be able to enjoy it as a shared moment of leisure and entertainment”.
The designer of the work is the architect Federica Cavallo while the works management is by Giancarlo Leone. The company that has contracted the work is Spadaro. “After the delivery of the Palazzo degli Studi works, said Antonio Drago, councilor for public works, there was this delivery to the fruit and vegetable market, a clear demonstration of the intensity of the work that my department has produced in recent months. We were at the actual start of the works of these two works which redevelop parts
important areas of the historic centre. We remain consistent with what we promised during the campaign
electoral: we will improve the face of Modica thanks to the many public works we are involved in
occupying. We think of a city that gives citizens a dimension on a human scale and
We work with perseverance and determination to see this vision realized. Pedestrian areas, spaces
green spaces and places for sharing and socializing are at the center of our political activity
administrative and with determination we are going in this direction”
