Youth aggregation is the fulcrum of the new center “Open space” of Cerignola, destined to become a point of reference for minors and young people in the Torricelli district. The center is supported by the institution With the childrenwhich invests in combating child educational poverty.
The project is a collaboration between various local bodies and institutions, including the Municipality of Cerignola and theDon Bosco-Battisti Comprehensive Institute, highlighting the importance of joint action for the betterment of the community. There official Mariapia Berardi underlined the importance of this project for the revitalization of the neighborhood and the prevention of school dropouts.
“Open space” will offer a wide range of cultural and artistic activities: theatre, cinema, music, books and street-art. Particular attention is paid to modern art courses, such as graffiti, and practical workshops in photography, videomaking, ceramics and scenography. This space not only aims to educate creativity, but also to teach values of legality and active citizenship.
One of the main objectives of the center is to give a voice to the young people of the neighborhood, actively involving them in the planning and management of the activities. This participatory approach is key to ensuring that the program responds to the real needs of young people and contributes to their personal and social development.
Furthermore, the Alice cooperative will provide a mini-bus service to facilitate access to the centre, connecting various neighborhoods of Cerignola, to ensure that no young person is left behind.
“Spazio Aperto” presents itself as a living laboratory of ideas and projects which, thanks to the support of all educational community of Cerignolaaspires to transform the Torricelli district in a model of inclusion and cultural growth for the whole city.
