Visits to the Salietti exhibition

On the occasion of today’s public holidays and May 1st, Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste di Ravenna will be open, with free admission, continuously from 11am to 7pm.

It will be possible to visit the art exhibition ‘Alberto Salietti, painter’ dedicated to the figure of Alberto Salietti (Ravenna, 1892 – Chiavari, 1961) considered among the protagonists of the Italian figurative history of the early twentieth century and the central years of the last century. Not just painting in this new chapter of the ‘Twentieth Century Revealed’ research, because in the same rooms of the Palace in Piazza Kennedy, the photographic project ‘Ravenna Bella’ can also be visited, an evocative visual story in 26 large format images dedicated to the city’s Darsena. The images, belonging to the photographic collection of the Classense Library, come from the research carried out by Enzo Pezzi, Gabriele Pezzi and Giancarlo Gramantieri and refer to the city views of the very first years of the twentieth century, those of a very young Salietti who began his brilliant activity right here.

Furthermore, on Tuesday 7 May you will be able to take part in the second afternoon guided tour. At 5.30pm, Laura Gramantieri will talk about the events of the early twentieth century narrated in the photographic exhibition ‘Ravenna Bella’. An hour earlier, at 4.30pm on the same day, Paolo Trioschi, curator of the Salietti exhibition, will tell the story of the great artist from Ravenna through the works on display. The initiatives are free to participate.
