Emotion for the return of Giovanni Sala
Many smiles and also a bit of emotion yesterday evening, Tuesday 23 April, in Vimercate, on the occasion of the City Council meeting which saw the return to the chamber of Giovanni Salagroup leader of the minority civic group “Noi per Vimercate” and mayoral candidate for the center-right in the 2021 local elections.
The serious illness at the beginning of March
Sala was struck by a serious illness last Saturday 2 March while he was in his home. For a few days he had feared for his condition. Then, fortunately, the rapid and complete recovery that yesterday, as mentioned, allowed him to return to his seat too.
Sala to colleagues: “Your words were an ointment”
“Thank you for your support, your attention, your messages and your delicacy – Sala said in the chamber at the opening of the session, addressing his colleagues – Your words moved me; they were an ointment for my mind, my heart, my soul and for my family in a complicated moment. All this is a further demonstration of the level of the people in this room.”
