Imola, 25 April 2024 – More parking reserved for fans e city ​​divided in two macro-areas: one to the north (cheaper as it is further from the racetrack) and the other to the south of the railway. The Municipality launches a new parking plan (never so extensive) for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of May 17-19 putting pen to paper a series of public spaces destined to exceptionally host cars, motorbikes, buses and campers.

Off we go Friday 17th, when a fenced area via Patarini already available in Area Blu enters the list of paid areas; the car park in via Graziadei; the internal areas of the Osservanza complex with entrance from Viale delle Palme; the road axis of via Quarantini.

Saturday 18 the paid parking network expands to the via Patarini car park next to the via Lughese roundabout; to the car park in via Gronchi; to the Area Blu warehouse area via Poiano; to the car parks along the road axes via Tabanelli (eastern carriageway on both sides from the Strike kiosk in Piazzale Michelangelo) and via Guicciardini; at the ‘il Meleto’ car park via Tiro a Segno; at the Viale d’Agostino car park next to Silvio Alvisi; at the car park next to the Sante Zennaro complex via Pirandello; at the car park of the Alberghetti school in Via San Benedetto; at the car park in via Pio IX next to the Alberghetti school; to the car parks along the road axis via Kolbe.

Sunday 19th, further extension of the plan which will include the via del Lavoro car park on the corner of via Berlinguer; the parking lot in Piazzale Pertini via Cogne; the road axis via Serraglio (from via Cogne towards the dead end and car park located on the same street); the car parks in via Aspromonte (bus station and former Zoo Aquarium); the car park in Viale Saffi (next to Asbid). In case of “necessity and particular influx, also linked to the management of traffic”, the road axes via Serraglio (from via del Lavoro to via Romagnoli) via Romagnoli, via Turati and via Patarini could also be allocated to spectators of the GP.

Tariff chapter

In the rest areas in ‘band A’that means south of the railway, the new prices retouched in recent weeks by the council. And so: 10 euros per day for motorcycle; 20 euros for cars up to nine seats; 25 euros for buses up to 16 seats; 27 euros for campers and caravans; 60 euros for bus.

In the ‘band B’, north of the railway and therefore further from the circuit, last year’s prices remain valid. That is: 7 euros per day for motorbikes; 15 euros for cars with up to nine seats; 20 euros for buses with up to 16 seats; 22 euros for campers and caravans; 60 euros for buses. The Municipality has also entrusted Area Blu with the “management of the procedures for the formation of the ranking, if necessary, of the associations, bodies, social, religious, sporting and cultural bodies of Imola, to be used for the management of extraordinary parking”. For several years now, in fact, 50% of the revenue deriving from paid parking at the Autodromo events has gone to the aforementioned groups.
