COSENZA – Undecided about what to do this April 25th? A good idea might be to visit one of the many museums and state sites in our region. On April 25th, on the occasion of Liberation Day, state museums and archaeological parks will be open free of charge. The initiative comes from the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, and is in addition to the Sundays at the museum, twelve days a year (the first Sunday of each month) where access to museums is totally free. From this year, the initiative also extends to two other days: 2 June, Republic Day, and 4 November, National Unity and Armed Forces Day.
«It will be April 25th the first of three new free days that I strongly desired to associate visits to places of culture with highly symbolic anniversaries for the nation”, explained the Minister.
Museums and sites open in Cosenza and its province
Today is Liberation Day Lat the National Gallery of Cosenzalocated in the ancient Palazzo Arnone on the Triglio hill, in the historic center of Bruzio, It will be open to the public from 8.30am to 6.45pm. In province of Cosenza instead it is open to the public the archaeological park of Sibari which will host two rounds of free guided tours: at 11am National Archaeological Museum of Sibaritide And archaeological area of Parco del Cavallo; at 4.00 pm National Archaeological Museum of Sibaritidecurated by the SosteniAmo association.
