Pd, ‘Municipality checks regularity on FdI Pescara convention’ – News

The Municipality of Pescara will have to ask the Port Authority and the local police to verify the regularity of what is happening on the free beach of the Nave di Cascella. The agenda illustrated by the group leader of the Democratic Party Piero Giampietro and signed by the other opposition councilors was approved, with the split in the centre-right, with which it was asked to “give the competent municipal offices the timely control of the use of tourist purposes of the free beach in front of the Nave di Cascella and the tourist-recreational purposes of the initiatives currently underway, to “ask for the support of the Port Authority and the local police to guarantee full respect for free access to the free beaches, the correct use of the same, the non-impediment of the view of the sea as per the authorization of the superintendency in relation to the FdI-An programmatic conference scheduled from 26 to 28 April on the free beach in front of the Nave di Cascella” and to “give a mandate to the competent offices to monitor the compliance with the ban on advertising on free beaches with signs, banners or insignia pursuant to the state property plan, thus covering any brand, symbol or insignia, including expressions of party or political-electoral propaganda”.

“We are happy if the city hosts a big event – explains Giampietro – but here we are faced with what we consider to be an improper use of the beach that is free for all. Pescara has adequate spaces that can be used for national events without forcing. Here, at our judgment, instead the rules have been forced. Now we will ensure that the agenda is punctually respected from the next few hours”.
