On the sidelines of the event organized by Il Foglio Sportivo at San Siro, the former footballer Daniel TOdani spoke to the journalists present. These are the statements on Milan and the possible future coach collected by our correspondent.
Would you like De Zerbi at Milan? “I would see De Zerbi doing well in all teams, he would be good for all teams. His is a football of values that starts first of all from a great human connection with the environment, the technical body, the boys, the management, the fans. He is someone who manages to build loyalty long before even going onto the pitch, where he is something unique. Of course I would see him well at Milan. I would also see him well at Juventus. But I don’t know how much it suits him now, because I think the path abroad suits him more at the moment, given that he started it a couple of years ago, passing through Ukraine, a difficult experience, and doing very well in this two-year period at Brighton, where he affected the entire English movement. He would certainly do very well with us too.”
Is there another profile that you would see well at Milan post Pioli? “There are different profiles. I have a lot of respect for Xavi, Barcelona coach. I don’t know if it can currently be connected to a future at Milan, but it seems to me that the greatness of Milan and the greatness of Xavi go very well together.”
