The increase will be 7.95%, approximately one euro and 30 more per month for an average family. Exemptions for some specific non-domestic users
Rho – Increase the Tari, or waste tariff, in Rho. A painful choice but, according to the majority, unavoidable not only for market reasons but also for inflation trends. An increase that the mayor’s office underlines however contentin in line with prices in nearby cities and justified by new services that are introduced.
“All municipalities are adjusting the tariff – Mayor Andrea Orlandi underlined in the city council – The inflationary impact it is not an exclusive element of the municipality of Rho but typical of the entire sector“.
How much are the increases though? The figure is 7.95%: this is the annual increase in the TARI that the municipality of Rho will see. An important but still lower rise, underlines the administration, al 25% initially predicted by ARERAor theRegulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment of the Ministry.
But, concretely, how much will this increase affect the wallets of Rhodesians? in reality it depends a lot on the type of user, domestic or non-domesticas well as the composition of one’s family unit.
Household utilities
The councilor gives some examples Roberto Bellofioreaccording to which, speaking of Household utilitiesfor a single individual, in one house of 60 square metersthe increase is 5.99 euros per year. On the opposite side of this hypothetical scale, a family of six members with a 120 square meter house would see an annual adjustment of, at most, 26 euros. A more traditional family than 3 componentsin a home of 100 square meterswould instead see an increase of approx 16.50 euros per yearthat is to say one euro and 30 per month.
Non-domestic users
Slightly different story for non-domestic users. For four types of these users, i.e. those linked to world of food and drink serving (restaurants, pizzerias, trattorias, bars, pubs, etc….) it was decided to do not apply an increase of 7.95% but “only” 2.5%by virtue of the TARI that these Rhodesian realities pay, which is already higher on average than in other neighboring cities.
New services
In the municipality’s explanation, the increase is also justified by the new services that will be offered in the coming months in the area of waste collection. Among these we highlight in particular the introduction of waste sorting in all three industrial areas of the city, the small revolution that is recorded with the efficiency of sweeping activitiesthe introduction of home green collectionor – which, remember, does not go into waste – and the replacement, over time, of the current bins with new models made from 70% recycled material, in compliance with the new European regulations.
Furthermore, these bins will be completely gray with the exception of the lid, whose color will remain in line with the current guidelines for separate waste collection.
So these are the news on the subject TARI approved during the last municipal council. Rho is therefore, like many other surrounding areas, going to increase its waste tax.
