Attack on the Sillavengo ATM

Published: April 24, 2024 5.44pm

Last night, between Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 April, around 3am, the ATM of the Sillavengo branch of Banco Bpm in via Chiesa was blown up.

This is yet another blow against ATMs in the Novara area since the beginning of the year. Furthermore, the same Sillavenghe branch (at the time Banca Popolare di Novara) had already been targeted by thieves in June 2020.

The device was blown up and its parts ended up on the street. The wall of the town hall was also damaged.

The loot from this latest theft is yet to be quantified. The police are investigating the case.
