ANCONA – “Research and Development to innovate the Marche” announcement, rankings approved.

The statement follows:

«The rankings of the ‘Research and development to innovate the Marche’ tender have been approved in implementation of the PR MARCHE FESR 2021-2027 – Axis 1 – Specific Objective 1.1 Action 1.1.1. For the financing of the projects, given the intense participation, the Marche Region has provided a total of 54.6 million euros, i.e. the entire allocation foreseen by the PR ERDF financial plan for the implementation of the intervention, adding 9.6 million euros to the allocated allocation (45 million euros). Investments in industrial research and experimental development are expected for a total of 92.5 million euros in the regional territory.

The result demonstrates the ability of the Marche production world to work on highly innovative projects to sell products capable of competing on international markets. Wide access to the benefits was then promoted through information meetings that were held in all the provinces and through the inclusion of simplifications applied to the reporting methods pursuant to community regulations, this is the consideration of the regional councilor for Economic Development.

Following the preliminary investigation conducted by the Department of Economic Development and the evaluation carried out by the Committee of experts, 96 projects were found eligible for financing which will be carried out by companies, of which 48 in individual form and 48 in aggregate form, within the scope of the Strategy regional smart specialization. In particular, 15 projects concern the home, furniture and living environment system, 14 projects the fashion and personal system, 36 projects mechanics and engineering, 8 projects the agri-food system, 6 projects products and services for culture and education, 11 projects on health products and services and 6 projects on the economy of tourism services.

There are 228 companies that will benefit from the contributions, of which 35 are large, 62 medium and 131 micro and small businesses often in aggregation together with larger ones. Collaborations with universities, research centers, innovative start-ups and Digital Innovation Hubs are also envisaged. There are 44 companies from the province of Ancona, 29 from Ascoli Piceno, 26 from Fermo, 44 ​​from Macerata, 48 from Pesaro. The remaining 37 come from other regions and intend to open a new investment office in the Marche.

Over 200 new hires of qualified personnel are expected by the beneficiary companies (graduates, researchers, qualified technicians, apprentices in higher education and research).

62 companies will introduce initiatives to improve workers’ well-being – in line with the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Marche Region with the main trade union and business associations in the area – such as facilitating flexibility in working hours, supporting employee income and family, encourage staff training, improve health and free time.

The granting of contributions to the beneficiary companies will take place with a subsequent deed following the completion of all obligations (such as compliance with anti-mafia legislation or DURC contribution regularity)”.
