TREVISO – Ten girls and boys from the Alberini Institute of Lancenigo di Villorba will represent the Province of Treviso at the inter-provincial Games organized by UPI national team in Imperia next month. The team will go on an away trip to the Ligurian province on 15 and 16 May, accompanied by teachers and representatives from the Province of Treviso, to meet the other Italian teams involved in the Games and live the experiences proposed by the national UPI with a view to knowledge, sharing and friendship.
Thanks to the SPORT ABC project, the Province of Treviso was the winner of the tender promoted by the Union of Italian Provinces, at national level, financed under the 2022 Youth Policy Fund, thus obtaining 100,000 euros to organize classroom activities during 2024 , with the aim of promoting sport and its educational values as a tool for development and social inclusion. The initiative aims to create a network between the Province, schools, amateur sports associations and third sector bodies, enhancing the active participation of young people within the community through sports practice.
In addition to the Province, the leading body, partners of the initiative are, in fact, the Union of Italian Provinces of Veneto, the Massimo Alberini Hotel Institute (Villorba), the Giuseppe Maffioli Hotel Institute (Castelfranco Veneto), the Lepido Rocco Professional School ( Motta di Livenza), ASD Villorba Rugby (Villorba), SSD Sport Target (Castelfranco V.to), SSD Pallavolo Motta (Motta di Livenza), APS – ASD Treviso Bulls (Treviso), CSA – Centro Associated Services (Conegliano).
