PESARO – Searches and seizures of ten individuals and three companies, in order to block a complex phenomenon of adulteration in the dairy sector: the Prosecutor’s Office delegated them to the Carabinieri Nas Command of Ancona and to the Central Investigative Unit of the ICQRF. Republic at the Court of Pesaro.
The search and seizure activities were carried out in the province of Pesaro and in other locations in the region, as well as at targets throughout the country, and involved over 60 judicial police officers including Carabinieri of the Nas and Inspectors of the Fraud Repression Inspectorate.
During the course of the activity, approximately 90 tons of milk and 110 tons of dairy products were found and seized, as well as approximately 2.5 tons of adulterated substances, for a total value of just under 800 thousand euros.
The investigations directed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Pesaro aim to ascertain the use of adulterating and adulterating substances in the production circuit of large-scale retail dairy products. The measure carried out was ordered during preliminary investigations and the recipients are people subjected to investigations and presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
