a new chapter of sustainability and biodiversity

In a significant move towards strengthening environmental initiatives, Generali Italia has announced the opening of the Gregorina Oasis, an ambitious project that aims to enhance biodiversity and promote sustainability. Located in the picturesque area of Castrocaro Terme and Terra del Sole in Forlì-Cesena, this 25-hectare oasis is an integral part of the Generali Act4Green program, which also includes the project to plant one million trees.

A sanctuary for biodiversity

The Gregorina Oasis, affiliated to the WWF, is characterized by a variety of natural habitats, ranging from the forest to the vineyard to the melliferous meadow. This diversity of ecosystems supports a rich fauna that includes species such as wolves, bats and porcupines, making the oasis a model of coexistence between agricultural activities and nature conservation.

Openness and environmental education

The oasis will open to the public with a series of events scheduled for 4, 9 and 11 May, offering a variety of educational and interactive activities, intended to engage schools, third sector organizations and general visitors. The focus will be on games, workshops and other activities designed to raise participants’ awareness of the issues of sustainability and respect for the environment.

Technology and accessibility

A salient aspect of the Oasi Gregorina project is the use of advanced technologies for monitoring biodiversity and ecosystems, as well as the implementation of landscape solutions that guarantee maximum accessibility. These efforts are aimed at creating an environment that is accessible to all, in line with the latest principles of inclusiveness and accessibility.

Long-term impact and community engagement

The project not only aims to conserve biodiversity, but also aims to positively influence the local community through environmental education and the transition to organic agricultural practices. Generali Italia’s vision is clear: investing in resources and strategies that benefit future generations, thus contributing to a positive and lasting environmental impact.
The inauguration of the Gregorina Oasis represents a significant step forward in Generali Italia’s sustainability path and is part of a broader context of environmental actions promoted by the company. With this project, Generali not only confirms its commitment to environmental protection, but also reaffirms its role as a leader in promoting sustainable and responsible growth.
