Lieutenant Colonel Alessio Brogi is the new commander of the Carabinieri biodiversity department of Siena.

Brogi has taken turns with Captain Marta Simonetti, who has until now been regent of the office in a vacant position and who will continue to provide her precious collaboration as an assigned officer.

Alessio Brogi leaves the position of commander of the investigative unit of the environmental, agri-food and forestry police of Siena, after having conducted numerous investigative activities over the years to combat environmental crimes in the province. The lieutenant colonel, until last August, had also been at the top of the Siena forestry carabinieri group for three years.

Having joined the State Forestry Corps in 1994, Alessio Brogi boasts vast experience in the environmental, agri-food and nature conservation sectors. Graduated in Forestry Sciences at the University of Florence and authorized to practice as a freelance agronomist and forestry doctor, the officer obtained a second level master’s degree in Environmental Safety Sciences at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. ” as part of the attendance of the first two-year course for officials of the State Forestry Corps.
