In mid-June the extraordinary congress to bring together the autonomist area
Union Valdôtaine and Alliance Valdôtaine have reached the «dernière étape» of the recomposition process. The two movements announced this in a joint note in French in which they explained that the meeting is “now within reach”.
«The Union Valdôtaine – we read – will organize numerous meetings in the area with members in the coming weeks to explain to them, in detail, the progress of the final phase of this ambitious project. The UV Congress will take place on May 17th and, the following week, the Alliance Assembly will take place to approve the ten transitional rules. Finally, the extraordinary Congress for the “Recomposition of the autonomist air” will be held in mid-June”.
As stated in the press release, «we believe in a Valle d’Aosta policy that can count on its own strengths and the capacity for self-government and self-determination, we have worked – UV and AV continue – to once again have a solid and united autonomist force, a movement anchored in federalism that can bring together and represent the different sensitivities present in our region”.
