In response to the press release issued by councilor Ethel Moreno regarding an alleged closure of summer centers for disabled people, the Sanremo al Centro group intervenes.
“In recent days we have read the speech of councilor Ethel Moreno who, in alarmist tones, declared in the press that the summer centers for the disabled could have been cancelled. – they say from Sanremo to the Center – this intervention is completely baseless and appeared to be inappropriate media and electoral speculation on a topic that should be treated with a very different sensitivity. In response to these rash statements, which have raised strong concerns, we want to reassure you that summer camps for disabled people will be held, as they have always been done. The administration has always paid the utmost attention to this issue and this attention certainly does not cease now. Perhaps this year the procedures were a little longer, thanks to the well-known vicissitudes linked to the former manager of the sector, together with the serious injury suffered by our councilor Costanza Pireri which kept her away from Palazzo Bellevue in the last month, but the excellent work done by the general secretary Monica Di Marco together with the relevant offices allowed all the procedures for the tender currently being defined to be started correctly. We therefore want to reassure citizens and interested families that the summer camps for disabled people will take place as always”.
