The meeting between the Order of the TSRM of the Technical Health Professions of Rehabilitation and Prevention of the provinces of Caltanissetta-Agrigento and the new Extraordinary Commissioner Giuseppe Capodieci took place at the management offices of ASP 1 in Agrigento.
The age-old problem of staff shortages which affects almost all professions in the sector has been addressed, making it impossible to guarantee the minimum essential services and to be able to meet the ever-increasing requests for preventive services, instrumental diagnostics and rehabilitation. It was agreed on how these critical issues inevitably reduce the quality of the service offered to citizens, and the work enthusiasm of healthcare professionals with a consequent weakening of the sense of responsible belonging in the workplace. The healthcare professional who places himself between the patient and the healthcare facility has the duty to raise and complain about any critical issues in an effective and constructive way, the Order in this sense, in carrying out its third party and subsidiarity functions with the Public Administrations, as well as for the simultaneous protection of the rights of its members, public health and in compliance with the law, it wants to be an active part and propose efficient and sustainable paths, methodologies to satisfy the health needs of the citizens of Agrigento and the provincial territory.
During the meeting, the Extraordinary Commissioner Capodieci demonstrated competence and availability for what was stated, guaranteeing us appropriate checks on the correct distribution of the personnel assigned to the various UU.OO. of the ASP with precise and timely recognition of the same, in order to avoid any improper use of other professional figures not authorized to practice one of the 18 healthcare professions of our Order, and at the same time the verification of the possible inclusion of new professions in the clinical paths healthcare professionals such as the Podiatrist, the Dental Hygienist, the Cardiocirculatory Pathophysiology and Cardiovascular Perfusion Technician,
