Counterfeit luxury bags and accessories seized by the Como financial police

Counterfeit women’s bags and accessories signed by major fashion brands. Fifty counterfeit bags were found during a check carried out by the Financiers of the Como Provincial Command during targeted checks in various commercial activities in Erba and Bellagio. Celine, Hermes, Chanel, Guggi, Bottega Veneta, Orciani are the names of the great luxury brands used on the bags.

The seized bags present high quality standards, both for the materials used and for the manufacturing, so much so that to verify the counterfeiting of the products it was necessary to consult the experts of the well-known brands involved. The latter in fact ascertained that the colours, shapes and some finishes were very similar to the original models, making them suitable for deceiving potential customers.

provenance foreseen by the Washington Convention, international legislation for the protection of fauna species and
wild flora threatened with extinction.

The investigative investigations have made it possible to trace two companies supplying the bags with fake designer labels,
with an operational base in the Milan area, managed by individuals of Chinese and Italian origin; during the searches, in
warehouses of the two companies, a further 450 counterfeit bags were seized. The owners of the commercial activities, held responsible for the violations, were referred to the AG for the crimes of trading in products with counterfeit brands and illicit possession of products derived from animal species at risk of extinction. On the basis of the principle of presumption of innocence, the guilt of the persons subjected to investigation will be definitively ascertained only if an irrevocable sentence of conviction occurs.
