“Manifesto of shame”: collection of signatures to remove it

A woman wearing the niqab and the writing: “Let’s change Europe before it changes us.” This is the electoral poster that stands outside the train station of the Venetian capital at the center of the petition launched on the online platform Change.org by Elena Rossi which has already reached almost a thousand signatures in just a few days.

For further information, read also:

“For a few days – we read in the petition – as in the worst science fiction films, shameful electoral posters of the League have appeared for this year’s European elections. This is the new business card of our city, exactly in front of the train station, hung without shame by those who have been playing politics on people’s skin for years.”

In addition to sparking local political debate, the electoral manifesto also animates voters who, as stated in the petition appeal, ask themselves: “Is this really the first image of Rovigo that we want to give to those who arrive in our city? Is this the best we can offer?”

The signatory of the petition asks: “To the Administration and the ASM to remove the racist and discriminatory billboard which, from the beginning, should never have found space within our city”.
