Sport and inclusion, the winning combination par excellence. What animates the PiacE20 association, which on Sunday 11 May is organizing – at the Agriturismo Isolone in San Rocco al Porto – the second edition of the “OlimPC Games”, a day dedicated to sporting activity with the aim of raising funds to be donated to local associations who work with disabled children.

“Sport belongs to everyone – he explains Matteo Raffi, president of PiacE20 – this is why our intention is to make this event a permanent event. The message is precisely this: to create a moment of true sharing, through the love of sport, in which everyone can feel involved.”

what’s new this year

This year there are countless new features. “As usual five-a-side football tournament with teams made up of children with disabilities from sector associations in Piacenza and Lodi – explains the creator of the project, Andrea Alborghetti – we thought we would offer the possibility of exploring the Po river and its nature, given that the initiative takes place on a farm: a special wagon pulled by a tractor will guide the kids through the greenery, with the possibility of getting to know the equestrian centre. Whoever wishes, he will also be able to ride a horse under the supervision of qualified instructors. Furthermore, members of the BMW Motorrad Club of Piacenza will accompany the participants riding their motorbikesin maximum safety, along an asphalted route without traffic, for a little driving emotion“.

THE GALA CHARITY DINNER

As in the previous edition, the day will end with one gala dinner organized, again at Isolone, by the entrepreneur and philanthropist Walter Bulla.
“Last year – Bulla reiterated – this initiative allowed us to raise over 10 thousand euros, which also including donations from companies, business associations and the Bank of Piacenza, was divided among the entities that participated in the event. On May 11th we want to outdo ourselves: the charity dinner will be a worthy end to a day of celebration.”

Finally, thanks to the collaboration with Piacenza Calcio, on Sunday 28 April on the occasion of the red and whites’ last home match against Real Calepina – some children with disabilities will enter the pitch with the players wearing the special t-shirt of the event.
In short, an all-round celebration.
