A budget that grows by approximately 1.1 million euros per year and which has grown by approximately 5.5 million during the mandate. This is the “legacy” that the Lattuca Council leaves to the city. Budget councilor Camillo Acerbi presented it yesterday to the City Council when he presented the 2023 budget report.

A statement that ends with an overall budget surplus of 39.3 million euros. Of these 30 million must be set aside, mostly in the Doubtful Credit Fund and this is where the good news is: the provision in this fund drops to 24 million euros (it was 28 million last year) thanks to the work done in these 5 years on the recovery of tax evasion and avoidance which also led to the cancellation of some impaired debts. To these 30 million are added 5 million euros of restricted surplus. The share free from restrictions amounts to 4 million euros which once the report was approved were already partly committed with a subsequent resolution.

As he did on the occasion of the vote on the budget forecast, yesterday Acerbi did not limit himself to the analysis of 2023 but also made a “balance of budgets” broadening his gaze to the last 5 years. «We were given a current budget of 88-89 million euros per year – said Acerbi -. This year we close with a budget of 82 million, which “cleaned” by flood contributions is worth around 79 million. If you remove the 15 million Tari from the account (which, becoming Tpc, no longer passes through the municipal budget). There has been a growth of 5.5 million in the last 5 years: on average 1.1 million per year on the current part». The investment part is also growing (+11 million compared to 2019), but in this case Acerbi said he is «convinced that when the Pnrr and flood contributions season ends we will return to the pre-2019 values. on the revenue side it is a growth that we can define as structural fruit of work, such as that done on outstanding debts, which will continue to feed the budget.” The fight against tax evasion and tax evasion is a theme for which he thanked the entire Council for always guaranteeing “political coverage” and support for the measures implemented in recent years.

Two budget changes also went to the vote yesterday (one already urgently approved by the Council) which overall have mobilized resources for 12.5 million euros. There are the 2 million euros urgently received from the GSE thermal account and intended to further improve the energy efficiency of the new Anne Frank school. The ordinary variation on the one hand incorporates new contributions arriving from the Region, from donations from private individuals and linked to the flood. The former mostly cover the increased costs of carrying out existing projects: this is the case, for example, of the Villachiaviche sports center (+150 thousand euros), the San Vittore nursery school (+180 thousand euros), the former Fricò which will host Cesena Lab and the Employment Center (+1.3 million). Among the donations there are those from Coop intended for the restoration of the Sant’Anna gardens and the Tripark (80 thousand euros), that from Adidas for the Ronta sports center (61 thousand euros), that of the M5s parliamentarians for the municipal property in Via Ex Tiro a Segno (240 thousand euros). Among the incoming sums there are also 960 thousand euros from Snam which will be spent on three interventions: 250 thousand euros for the Ponte Pietra school; 500 thousand for the Ponte Abbadesse-Rio Eremo cycle path; 200 thousand to make public lighting more efficient.

Among the resolutions to be voted on green light for the preliminary contract to acquire for 1 million euros the surface right for 20 years of the car park that will be built at the Sacred Heart by the Foundation and will bring around sixty new parking spaces to the historic centre.
