The formation of Italy – Startlist and rotation orders – Italy’s hopes
Good morning and welcome to the LIVE LIVE of the European Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships. The continental review opens in Rimini, where the senior qualifiers take place. The athletes will compete head-on to qualify for the various specialty finals (eight places per apparatus, maximum two for each nation) and for the final stage of the team competition, but medals for the individual general competition will also be awarded.
The 5-4-3 format is adopted: each nation fields five athletes, four climb on an apparatus, only the three best scores are counted. Italy presents itself to defend the team title won twelve months ago. The line-up of the owners will be the same: Yumin Abbadini, Lorenzo Minh Casali, Matteo Levantesi, Marco Lodadio, Mario Macchiati. The challenge will be above all with Great Britain, Türkiye, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Spain. There will be also Salvatore Maresca as an individualist at the rings.
Italy will take to the stage at 5.45pm, engaged in the third and final subdivision. The Musketeers will begin their adventure at the bar. We will start at 10.00 with the first subdivision.
