Corigliano-Rossano (CS) – After years of service in the area, the “Young Green Europeanists” were also formed in the Green-Green Europe club of Corigliano Rossano. During a well-attended meeting held at the party headquarters in via Telesio, the two spokespersons were elected, Sara Zubaio aged 18 and Manuele Nigro aged 19 while Davide Carmine Iacoi, 16 years old, will take care of social media.
The group has also expressed two candidates who will be included in the Green list, in support of the Flavio Stasi mayoral coalition. They are the cultural mediator Fouad El Gorch, 26 years old, representative of the city’s Arab community and Ioulia Rudenko, 21, representative of the Ukrainian community.
The GEV were born as a youth political project that acts as a spokesperson for the expectations, hardships, ideals and dreams of the many young people who are clamoring for a better future for themselves and for our planet.
«We position ourselves – explained the two spokespersons, Zubaio and Nigro – not only as a tool for bringing young people closer to politics, but also as a means for the emancipation and political realization of a generation that feels the need to find an active role in choices for the future.” The well-attended meeting revealed a lot of enthusiasm for the electoral campaign which will end with the local elections on 8 and 9 June.
