TO Bologna, in via Testoni 5/E, until recently there was the Eutèpia tea room. A very popular reality which has now moved to via Castiglione – near the Duse Theater -, making way for the second headquarters of MAG – Art Gaze warehouse Of Alessandra Carini, which presents itself as a platform for the most daring artists, a meeting place for industry insiders, and features a private bookshop, curated by Bonobolabo. The new space will be inaugurated on April 24, 2024 Italian Pavilion, the double staff of Giulio Alvigini and Luca Rossi.

The space, in the heart of the historic center of Bologna, responds perfectly to the idea of Magazzeno gallery: a friendly and open place, where you can take advantage of more services”, explains Adì Artribune the gallery owner Alessandra Carini. “The gallery, which extends over an area of ​​approximately 100m2, opens with the first room reserved for the bookshop, curated by the brand Bonobolabo (already present in the bookshops of Palazzo Strozzi, Macro and Guggenheim in Venice), and the bar corner, open on Tuesday and Friday evenings and on the opening days, which will offer a selection of wines and beer and the inevitable spritzes and gin and tonics”. There is then space for exhibition projects: “The second room, the largest, is reserved for temporary exhibitions which will take place every two months, while the third and last room is a more intimate space, where collectors can be welcomed and the other artists of the gallery can be exhibited. There will be performances, book presentations, meetings and dinners with the artists”.

Bonobolabo takes care of the Magazzeno Art Gaze bookshop in Bologna

The store will be made up of a selection of my productions: limited edition designer skate decks, serigraphs, books and even some originals“, explains Marco Miccoli of Bonobolabo. “Since 2013 I have been collaborating with Italian and international artists from the world of urban art, illustration and comics. In the part curated by me, the public will be able to find more pop works and merch compared to the works of Magazzeno who is instead orienting his research towards more conceptual art, and also for all budgets”.
