Athletes protagonists in triathlon, running and cycling
Legnano – The weekend just gone saw the athletes of the Team Legnano present in all disciplines practiced: triathlon, running and cycling.
“Saturday – they tell – at the races organized by FOLLOW YOUR PASSION, which took place at the Idroscalo in Milan, from the early hours of the morning our triathletes debuted in the triple, first on the SPRINT distance with Lorenzo Pastori, who as always faces the race with great determination, testing the her level of preparation, after the long winter season, and Elvira Carfagna who with great satisfaction climbs onto the second step of the category podium.
Immediately afterwards, the debutant Riccardo Palumbo tackles his first Olympic distance in the company of Matteo Maulini, Lorenzo Casero and Andrea Dichio, all happy to cross the first finish line of the season.
Towards the evening the Runners team participated with Emanuele Fischetti and Antonella Cottone in the 10 km, the final race of this day of sport, excellently managed by the organisers. Antonella, increasingly fit, finished third in her category and signed her personal victory over the distance with a smile that speaks for itself.
On Sunday the group of runners participates in large numbers in the SARNICO LOVERE RUN, and in the ECORUN in Varese, because in the “lilac” house the beauty is also this: running, yes, but with the pleasure of practicing the sport in harmony and complicity.
We highlight the trip of Federica Cozzi and Luca Venier, who race with great competition at the Velocissima in Pietra Ligure. Federica climbs to second place overall with a time of 36’20”, while Luca finishes his 10 km in 34’19”, not very satisfied. While at the Padua Marathon, Francesco Mascherpa uses the race to carry out training in view of his commitment on May 5th at Wings for Life in Zurich.
With the BIKERS team Lorenzo Olgiati and Stefano Galimberti were the TEAM’s bearers at the “104 Targa d’Oro Città di Legnano”, Regional Master Championship, our Lorenzo finished with an excellent twelfth place overall.
The ITALIAN CLASSIC DUATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS were held in Quinzano d’Oglio, again on Sunday. The planned distance consists of 10 km of running, followed by 40 km of cycling without a wake, finishing with 5 km of running. With a time of 2h 23’30” Annalisa Bombelli wins the M4 Category and wears the Italian Champion jersey. As an Athlete and President of the TEAM there could be no better satisfaction. Together with her, Luigi Intili also debuted and conquered the finish line.
The TEAM is growing in all disciplines. The passion and dedication of each member contributes, on a daily basis, to making this team an increasingly close-knit and numerous family, where every individuality is rewarded beyond any chronological comparison, there are no numbers but people, this is what distinguishes us ”, they conclude.
