The councilor for social policies of the Municipality of Catanzaro, Giusy Pinoannounces that the socio-work inclusion project, called “@ia-ia-o”, has been selected by the Public Function Department of the Ministry of Public Administration.
The recognition places Catanzaro among the top three projects in Southern Italy and among the 15 at a national level chosen to receive support and funding.
“The @ia-ia-o project aims to implement a social agriculture model that favors the employment inclusion of particularly vulnerable people, such as young people with Down syndrome and autism, as well as care leavers – young people who have spent much of their their childhood in reception facilities. This project not only offers a concrete response to the risk of exclusion from the world of work for these people, but also promotes the development of skills and personal autonomy.”
