POZZUOLI – This morning Pozzuoli woke up covered in signs and flyers for the right to abortion, many of which were posted in front of the most significant places: the Santa Maria delle Grazie hospital, the Monterusciello clinic, the former clinic in via Vecchia Vineyards. «After the amendment by Fratelli d’Italia to introduce anti-abortion associations into clinics with PNRR funds, we felt the need to claim the right to a safe, free and accessible abortion. Pro-life associations do nothing but blame those who resort to voluntary termination of pregnancy, threatening self-determination over our bodies”, declares Kate De Flammineis spokesperson for Potere al Popolo – Pozzuoli. «Qhere in Pozzuoli there should be 4 clinics, one for every 20,000 inhabitants, according to law n. 34/96, but only one remained after the closure of the one in via Vecchia delle Vigne. The PNRR funds must be spent to make up for the real shortcomings of our territories, where the waiting times for a visit are increasingly longer, so that there is public healthcare that works and is accessible to all.”
