A 28-year-old young man resident in Messina was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Messina Sud Company on charges of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances. The operation was conducted as part of an anti-drug service coordinated by the Carabinieri of the Messina Gazzi station.
During a search at the suspect’s apartment, already known to the police, the military found and seized 38 grams of marijuana, divided into doses and hidden in an ingenious way inside a kitchen cabinet. In addition to the drugs, a precision scale, presumably used for packaging the doses, and the sum of 395 euros in cash were discovered and confiscated. During the search, notes were also found attesting to the drug dealing activity.
After the formalities, the young man was placed under house arrest at the disposal of the judicial authority, remaining confined to his home. The seized drugs were sent to the Carabinieri of the RIS of Messina for the relevant laboratory analyses.
