On April 25th, on the occasion of Liberation Day, the Municipality of Fiumicino will organize three ceremonies to pay homage to the Fallen. During these events, laurel wreaths will be placed on the dedicated monuments, testifying to the administration’s respect and memory for those who sacrificed their lives during the Resistance period. Civil, military and religious authorities will participate in the tributes.
The ceremonies will follow this program
- At 10.30 the first ceremony will be held at the Palidoro monument, in Piazza SS. Filippo and Giacomo, with the presence of the city councilor Massimiliano Catini.
- The second ceremony is scheduled for 11.30am at the Maccarese monument, located in viale Castel San Giorgio, and will see the participation of the deputy mayor Giovanna Onorati.
- The last ceremony will take place at 12.30 at the monument to the fallen of Fiumicino in Piazza Grassi, with the councilor for Productive Activities Raffaello Biselli.
The municipal administration underlines the importance of these moments of reflection and gratitude towards our fellow citizens who fought for freedom.
