A network for social inclusion, Modena becomes “Positive Impact City”

A project promoted by PMG Italia Società Benefit for the diffusion of an inclusive culture based on eco-sustainable behaviours. Thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Modena, Centro Servizi Volontariato Terre Estensi, Auser Modena, Anteas, Liceo Muratori-San Carlo and local entrepreneurs, PMG Italia Società Benefit has created a solid network of stakeholders to promote and support social inclusion projects , training and environmental requalification.

Cities with Positive Impact is a ‘container’ of projects dedicated to the diffusion and affirmation of a Positive Impact Culture, which looks at common well-being, the care and inclusiveness of the most fragile people and the training and awareness of the new generations on the most urgent social issues . This ‘container’ is powered by a solid network between Institutions, Third Sector Bodies, Entrepreneurs and Citizens, all united in the creation of projects with a high impact on society, territory and the environment.

In particular, the following interventions have been carried out in the Modena area: inclusion services: Anteas now has a vehicle set up to carry out proximity services in the area for people and families with fragility. A second vehicle will soon be delivered to Auser. Training: the students of the Muratori-San Carlo high school will participate in a training session on the topics of sustainability, the 2030 Agenda, social responsibility, attention towards the environment and the most vulnerable people. Students will be asked, as citizens of Positive Impact Cities, to contribute to the growth of their community by proposing concrete projects to be implemented in the city. The school project will end with the exhibition of the students’ projects and the assignment of the scholarships granted by the Supporting Ambassadors. Health protection: a defibrillator was donated to the Volunteer Service Center for the cardio-protection of all citizens: environmental redevelopment: an urban forest will be created in Modena through the planting of trees, to contribute to the oxygenation of the environment and create a refreshment space that every citizen will be able to use.

The deliveries of the vehicle and the defibrillator took place last April 19th in the presence of the Mayor Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, the president of the CSV Terre Estensi Alberto Caldana, the president of Anteas Onlus Giuseppe Polichetti, the school director Giovanna Morini and the prof. Sara Battaglino, manager for social inclusion, accompanied by students of the Liceo Muratori-San Carlo. The Ambassadors who contributed to the realization of the project were also present.

The planting of the urban forest and school events to train and raise student awareness of the issues of sustainability and social inclusion are scheduled for the next school year.

«These projects are a source of great satisfaction for us. Since our transformation into a Benefit Company in 2020 we have enriched our planning by expanding our areas of intervention, continuing to dedicate ourselves to the world of fragility, which we have always dealt with with our mobility projects, but combining particular attention to the environment and involving the new generations in training and awareness-raising projects, who will in fact be the citizens of the future, as well as harbingers of great positive energy – declares Marco Mazzoni, CEO of PMG Italia – Seeing the stakeholders join our projects with so much enthusiasm and with so much interest, it gratifies us and confirms that we have made the right choice. In fact, the ‘Benefit’ dimension was already in our DNA even before the legal transformation.”
