Fano, a student of Nolfi

PESARO – A student of Nolfi – Apolloni of Fano triumphs at the national Latin championships. It took place on Saturday morning 20 April at the Metaurense Hall of the Prefecture of Pesaro, in the presence of the Prefect, Dr. Emanuela Saverio Greco, the authorities and the President of the Jury, Prof. Alessandro Fo – who held a lectio on Horace – the award ceremony for the second edition of “Certamen Latino The idol”.

The race of translation from Latin, created in memory of Clementina Berdinia former student of the “Marconi” high school in Pesaro, who passed away prematurely, had a national dimension this year and saw the participation of 200 kids from all over Italy.

The winner of the section dedicated to classical high school (in this second edition a section dedicated to scientific high school was also introduced) he is the student of the 4b classic of the Nolfi-Apolloni high school in Fano Federico Fortewho had also achieved the highest podium last year.

This year too, the student from Fano won a cash prize of €500. A special mention as “Talented translators” was achieved by Costanza Giuliani of the 3b classic and from Luca Petrelli of the 3rd classic. The organizing commission of the “Certamen” is made up of four teachers from the “Marconi” scientific high school: Francesca Gasperini, Anna Sanchini, Elena Del Prete and Federica Iacomucci.
