It is 2:00 when a woman with renal colic arrives at the emergency room of the Santa Maria delle Grazie in Pozzuoli, as reported by the association Nobody Tocchi Ippocrate. As per protocol, she is assigned a green code which requires a wait, the woman’s husband lady, already visibly impatient upon arrival at the hospital, suddenly goes crazy and destroys everything within reach in the hospital’s waiting room. An OSS who suffers a head injury is even physically attacked; in practice the patient, in the wake of her husband’s violence, puts his hand in her face and makes her violently impact the iron door of the red code.
The police arrive in the emergency room to collect testimonies and to identify the attacker.

The matter was reported to the deputy of the Green Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli:

Medical staff increasingly end up in code red, attacked by those who are in code green and demand On the other hand, there are very rare cases in which the aggressors have been convicted for their actions and this in fact authorizes everyone to do what they want by reducing healthcare funds creating even more inconveniences and transforming public hospitals into battlefields. The wealthy can turn to private facilities while everyone else has fewer and fewer services.”
