The Center for Families of Cesena and the Service for the right of visit and relationship So.Stare, two important services of the Union of Municipalities of the Savio Valley managed by the ASP Cesena/Valle Savio, propose two training meetings to reflect and dialogue on how difficult but necessary it is to think and talk about sad and painful moments with boys and girls.

The first meeting will be held on Friday 10 May at 3.00 pm, in the Screenings room of the Malatestiana Library with the viewing of the documentary film “Le Buonintentions” (Italy, 2016), directed by Beatrice Segolini and Maximilian Schleuber. The story narrated is fascinating for the intricate relational dynamics between the different members of the family group, and for the reflection which pushes every spectator (daughter, son, father, mother), led to question themselves about the education they have undergone or given. A reflective meta-documentary in which the presence of the camera creates narration, forcing family members to stage themselves. The viewing of the film will be followed by a dialogue between the director, Beatrice Segolini, her mother Lorella Zanotto and Paola Bastianoni, psychologist, associate professor of Dynamic Psychology at the University of Ferrara and those present. The screening is organized in collaboration with ZeLIG – Documentary School of Bolzano and thanks to the meeting with Rara – School of orientation to the study of the arts Forlì.

The second meeting, entitled, “Educating about death, mourning, loss. Accompanying the little ones in understanding and processing mourning” will be held on Saturday 11 May, at 9.30 am, in the Sozzi room of the Ridotto palace. The meeting arises from the need to create dialogue contexts that give adequate recognition to death education as a process of education in individuality and intimacy, in which children can find space not only in the expression of pain, but also in the nourishment of hope and in the dimension of remembrance. Speakers: Paola Bastianoni, Ilaria Contado of the Eduscaffolders group, University of Ferrara, Pietro Bolognese, illustrator of the book “The library of Mr. Death” and Emanuele Ortu pedagogist. The speakers will dialogue with those present to share tools to accompany boys and girls in understanding and processing the experience of mourning and loss.

Both events are free and aimed at protection workers, educators, teachers, parents and open to all citizens. To participate you must book by contacting 0547 333611 or by writing to [email protected].
