JESI, 21 April 2024 – Everything was easy for coach Ghizzinardi’s boys who imposed themselves without difficulty dominating and beating a Padova team now destined for the play outs who are not in a good position.

Overtime Tiberti and Varaschin followed by the Merletto/Marulli duo they have an easy time under the basket against a team that never manages to overcome the technical and physical superiority of the home team. A group, the one from Jesi, who enters the promotion play-offs in excellent form despite Rossi’s absence on the parquet in the evening.

The home team prevailed already after the 3rd minute played. Merletto takes the lead and with two close triples scores the first breakthrough (14-4) in the 5th minutefollowed in rotation by the other singles who, in less than 3′ from the first gong, extended the gap to +13 (21-8). Upon returning, after starting with a triple of Bianconi, Tiberti scores 6 points in an amen and the remaining minutes of the third period practically serve to improve the scores of the Jesi players. Despite the usual efforts Molinaro and a willing Bianconi who try to limit the damage, never manage to bring the inertia of the match to their side. In the 30th minute the hosts came close to taking the lead, 65-37.

In the last 10 minutes left coach Ghizzinardi gives space to the young players on the bench Nisi, Malatesta and Vita Sadi for a match that was already practically on ice and dominated for all 40 minutes. At the sound of the final siren, Jesi dominates: 84-56.

The 18th and last place in each groupat the end of the qualification phase, recedes directly in Interregional Serie B. The teams classified from 14th to 17th placeat the end of the qualification phase, access the Playouts.
The Playouts are structured into two rounds, the best of 5 matches (alternating home-home-away-away-home), with pairings within the individual groups. First round pairings: 14-17, 15-16. The winners of the first round are saved, the losers advance to the second round. The two losers of the last round will also be relegated to Interregional Serie B. There will be a total of 4 relegated teams in Interregional Serie B.
