“Let’s change the air!” competition is underway

Campania. The “Cambiamo Aria!” ideas competition is underway, now in its second edition, announced by the Campania Region.

The competition is aimed at a class or a group of classes of students enrolled in the 2023-2024 school year in primary and secondary schools of all levels in Campania.

Purpose

With this initiative, the Campania Region intends to continue the awareness-raising process already started in the first edition, on issues relating to the protection of air quality, encouraging the creation of educational training courses that have the aim of educating young people on the importance of common air good, spreading awareness of reducing emissions of air pollutants.

typology

The project proposals must include a paper inspired by the theme of air quality produced by the students in the form of a class or group of classes, as indicated below:

Primary School:

• Creation of a fairy tale conceived and illustrated by children;
• Creation of a mascot with the identification of a name.

Lower and upper secondary school:

• Creation of a commercial or a multimedia work (video clip, video reportage, music video clip) lasting a maximum of three minutes;
• Creation of a short film lasting a maximum of 5 minutes;
• Visual art (photography, illustration, comics, painting, digital art);
• Written text (poem, story, manifesto);
• Musical composition (song lyrics and music);
• Artistic performance to be presented with a video playback lasting a maximum of 5 minutes.

Times and methods of submitting applications

Educational institutions that intend to present their project proposal must send their application no later than 5.00 pm on 04/30/2024.

Schools will be able to submit their project in one of the following ways:

• By registered mail to the following address:

General Directorate for Soil and Ecosystem Protection Via De Gasperi n. 28 – 80133 Naples.

• By hand delivery from Monday to Friday from 9.30 to 12.30 at the General Directorate for Soil and Ecosystem Protection Via De Gasperi n. 28 – 80133 Naples.

The works, under penalty of exclusion, must be accompanied by the completion of the electronic form accessible at the link: https://forms.office.com/e/7zfrDtxUfr – indicating in point 11 – Method of transmission: Physical sending (on site)

Digital presentation mode

Schools that participate by sending a digital work, previously saved in cloud storage services (for example Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, One Drive), are required to transmit their work exclusively with an electronic form accessible at the link: https://forms.office.com/e/7zfrDtxUfr.

In order to allow the download of the transmitted documents, it will be advisable to use cloud storage services that guarantee the validity of the transmitted link for at least 15 days from the date of sending.

Awarding of the winners

30 prizes of 3,000 euros each will be made available and will be allocated to the winning schools. Winning schools are invited to attend the awards ceremony to be held on the day 30 May 2024, at 9.30 am, at the Trianon Viviani Theater – Piazza Vincenzo Calenda n. 9 – Naples.
