“The Government supports businesses in accessing credit”

“Despite their small size, companies from the Marche region are characterized by their capacity for innovation and growth. In the Marche region, access to credit suffers from the lack of a local institution of reference and from the phenomenon of banking desertification”.

This was declared by the undersecretary for Economy and Finance and deputy of Fratelli d’Italia Lucia Albano in Jesi, during her speech at the event on the occasion of the 80 years of Confindustria Ancona.

“The MEF continues to support the entrepreneurial fabric also through public guarantees which, as of 31 December 2023, amounted to 300 billion, 14.4% of GDP (Def data). This intervention made it possible to ensure liquidity and access to credit and mitigate the risk of insolvency and bankruptcy.”
“The Meloni Government – he continues – has also undertaken, with the Capital Bill, to simplify access to and regulation of the capital markets, modifying the definition of SMEs and regulating the dematerialisation of shares”.

“In my opinion, the challenge in the area cannot be won in the contrast between large and small credit institutions but rather by ensuring a qualified presence and innovative tools capable of supporting businesses in the Marche region, which represent 2.4% of Italian GDP,” he concludes.
