Originally from Giovinazzo, for 15 uninterrupted years (from 1980 until 1995) he was a municipal councilor in the highest level of the city and attended various parties: primarily the Christian DemocracyThe Italian People’s PartyL’Center Unionthe Margherita pizza and the Spring in Motion. Then, after a few years’ break, he returned to the scene to deal with transport: he was, in fact, appointed in 1998 as head of theAmtabthe Bari company, concessionaire of the local public transport service.
For 8 years, until 2006, he led the changes of the municipal transport company through three corporate transformations, concretizing the transport service Park & Ridebefore being appointed CEO of the company from 2006 to 2009 Provincial Transport Company. And with the Trani company that manages and provides transport services in the Bari metropolitan area, he created initiatives such as the Discobus el’Open Bus Tour in the center of Bari, but the call of politics once again made itself felt.
He ran with theCenter Union to the 2010 regional elections in support of Adriana Poli Bortone arguing that «politics is not a trivial thing… but rather an art dedicated to the good of those around you», but he was not elected: he won 2,550 votes, came fourth. The funeral will be held tomorrow, at 3.30 pm, in the church of Sant’Agostino.
