BRESCIA-TERNANA, THE CHOICES
HERE BRESCIA. Only one new formation compared to the starting eleven hypothesized on the eve of the match. In centocampo there is Besaggio and not Bertagnoli in the role of left midfielder. The former Paghera at the bottom of the three-man midfield has been confirmed. In attack there are Bianchi and Galazzi supporting Moncini as the lone striker.
TERNANA HERE. Breda changes again. The red-green coach takes control of the midfield and attack. Rest session for Pyythia to which the Treviso coach prefers De Boer. There is also news in attack where Pereiro’s partner will be Raimondo and not Favilli who scored his first league goal last Saturday in Cremona.
BRESCIA-TERNANA, THE CURIOSITIES
After he had not found success in the previous six matches with Ternana in Serie B (3N, 3P), Brescia have won five of the last eight against the Umbrians in second place (3N) – including the two most recent in the tournament. Brescia is the only team to have not yet recovered a defeat at home in 2024 in Serie B, thanks to three wins and as many draws. After the 2-1 victory over Cremonese, Ternana has the possibility to win two games in a row in Serie B for the first time since last December (a series of three on that occasion, against Cosenza, Feralpisalò and Lecco). Brescia (eight) and Ternana (10) are two of the three teams that have scored the fewest goals from dead balls in this championship – together with the latter, Bari (10). Ternana is the team against which Gabriele Moncini scored his first multiple goals in Serie B (a brace against Cesena on 4 February 2018); the striker born in 1996 is just one goal away from his tally in the last championship (nine in 2022/23) and has scored seven of his eight goals in this tournament at home. The next one will be the 250th match in the Serie B regular season for Tiago Casasola, who has already scored a goal against the Lombards in the competition, with Perugia, in February 2023. Furthermore, by finding a goal or an assist he would become the fifth midfielder with at least 20 goalscoring appearances in the last two cadet tournaments, after Jari Vandeputte (20), Luca Tremolada (21), Antonio Palumbo (21) and Daniele Casiraghi (28).
