Deaths at work: in Sicily nine cases in three months. In Italy there are 191 victims, including accidents in the workplace and while commuting, five in less compared to the end of March 2023. Deaths at work, the most affected sector: construction
At the end of the first quarter of 2024 it is still the sector of Buildings to detect the greatest number of deaths on the occasion of work: there are 25. Accidents: growing complaints
The complaints of injury totals grew by 0.4% compared to March 2023. In fact, they were 144,586 at the end of March 2023, in 2024 they rose to 145,130. Even at the end of March 2024 the highest number of complaints total comes from Manufacturing Activities (16,371). They follow: Healthcare (7,701), Construction (7,627), Transportation and Warehousing (6,986) and Trade (6,943). Accident reports from workers in March 2024 there were 52,915, those of male colleagues 92,215. Accident reports in occasion of work (therefore excluding accidents in itinerary) were 124,319 at the end of March 2024: 42,449 were women and 81,870 were men. Accident reports in occasion of work for Italians are 100,440, while for foreigners they are 23,879.
