Double debut for the Caserta baritone Landolfi at the “Bellini” in Catania
Descriptive text here

Double debut: the first Donizetti and his first Lucia di Lammermoor. Alvignano baritone Francesco Landolfi says he is excited and full of adrenaline a few days after the first performance, in the majestic and evocative Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, of an opera by one of the most famous opera artists of the nineteenth century. Director Maestro Stefano Ranzani, director Gian Domenico Vaccari.

The three-act opera, with a libretto by Salvatore Cammarano, takes place in Scotland, at the end of the 16th century, in Ravenswood Castle. The noble Ashton family, to which the brothers Enrico and Lucia belong, has usurped the assets and the castle of the Ravenswood family, whose only heir is Edgardo. Edgardo and Lucia secretly love each other. The singer from Caserta on Saturday 20 April 2024 will take on the role of Lord Enrico Ashton, an experience that enriches the already rich curriculum of the artist from Campania, the most recent production still in Sicily last December with “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi .

“A long period of rehearsals – comments Maestro Landolfi – which will end with a double debut. A role that I only knew thanks to my studies but which with great pride will see me as the protagonist on a stage that fascinates me every time and gives me great emotions. It is interesting and satisfying to work, among others, with Maestro Ranzani, with whom I had never had the opportunity to share an experience until now, and with many other professionals and colleagues who I have found again after time. An opportunity to grow and mature, a stage in a journey that began when I was very young and which I have stubbornly explored and continue to explore with the complicity and support of my family.” Performances scheduled for 23 and 26 April.
