In recent days the Italian-Swiss road and railway borders of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta were affected by a massive control operation aimed at combating smuggling, counterfeiting and illicit trafficking of currency and precious metals.
The operations were conducted by Financial Police of Verbania and Aosta and by the officials of the Customs offices of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Aosta and the Anti-fraud Office of the Territorial Directorate for Liguria, Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta.
