Rohlfs Museum and the Municipality of Bova alongside LaC Tv for the official baptism of “Grecanica News”, a new adventure that will start tonight, Saturday 20 April at 9.00 pm, a format that will repeat the already existing experience dedicated to the Albanian community of Calabria. Grecanica News, a weekly information strip entirely dedicated to the Greek community of Calabria will be visible on LaC TV, on digital terrestrial channel 11, TivùSat channel 411 and on Sky channel 820.

It will also be possible to see and review the program in streaming on LaC Play, by downloading the app for Android and iOS or by reaching the website www.lacplay.it. The Deputy Mayor of Bova expresses all his satisfaction for the launch of this new page dedicated to Greek Calabria Gianfranco Marino.

“We are on the eve of an appointment that we care a lot about and which sees us as protagonists – explains Marino – an important result for which I would like to thank Maria Grazia Falduto, editorial director Diemmecom, Franco Cilurzo network director e Gianluca Gallo, Regional Councilor for linguistic minorities who, during the official presentation of the format, held a few days ago in Bova at the premises of our civic library, wanted to reiterate the Region’s attention to this new reality. It’s an idea – continues the Deputy Mayor – which starts right from Bova, from our administration and specifically from the structure of the “Rohlfs Museum”, from which the proposal to the top management of LaC TV was born on the basis of the experience carried out in favor of the Albanian community of Calabria. Grecanica News represents a very important service thanks to which a spotlight will be turned on on a weekly basis on the oldest ethnic-linguistic minority in the national panorama, through services that will highlight the various aspects of a territory that today has sixteen municipalities.

When we started the first discussions with the network director last October, the feeling was immediately that of being faced with an unmissable opportunity to give voice to a territory that deserves particular attention, a treasure chest of culture and traditions that wants to open up in the world, a culturally very important geographical area which sees its most representative center in Bova. This last occasion also confirms and consolidates the role of cultural reference historically recognized in Bova in the panorama of the Grecanica area and more widely in that of the entire metropolitan territory, a role which today takes the form of a service and attention that thanks to the agreement with LaC we wanted to address a vast territory.

On this path – concludes the Deputy Mayor – the structure of our Museum will play a real role as a link between TV and the territory, becoming a reference for all the entities operating in various capacities in the Area, which will want to bring to the attention of the editorial staff initiatives and events of particular importance to which space will be dedicated from time to time. Reference numbers and addresses will be available on the Language Museum website”.
