There are 209 (40 women and 169 men) registered The Pian del Lago Trophy, scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 21 April in Caltanissetta. The event is organized by the ASD Marathon Caltanissetta, and is valid as the third round of the Caltanissetta/Enna Interprovincial Grand Prix.
NUMBERS AND CURIOSITIES
The largest category is the SM55 with 21 athletes at the start, followed by the SM50 with 20, SM45 and SM60 boast 18 athletes at the start. For women, the largest category is SM45 (6).
Great attention is also paid to the youth categories that will open the competition event. All categories of Beginners, Cadets, Boys and Male and Female Students will be involved. The most represented category will be that of the Male Beginners 8 with 10 mini-athletes at the start.
This will be followed by the Master categories (flanked by Juniores, Promesse and Seniors) involved in three laps of the route, for a total of approximately 7,290 metres.
The youngest in the race is Salvatore Giulio Polizzi, 6 years old in June. The youngest is Carol Blandino who will turn 7 in August. The older ones are Liborio Termini 75 springs and Domenica Cannistraci. Best wishes to Luca Ireneo Arcuri who will celebrate his birthday in a hurry,
Thirty companies are present in Pian del Lago, the largest is the company organizing the Marathon Caltanissetta (29) followed by Corri Serradifalco (25), Track Club Master Caltanissetta (24), Talin Club Nicosia (12), Walkers Runners Canicattì (11 ), Atletica Caltanissetta and Atletica Mazzarino (10), Pro Sport Ravanusa and Atletica Bellia (8), Atletica Canicattì and Campobello Corre (7), Prosport Castrofilippo (6), Atletica Enna (5), Atletica Rosamaria (4).
The route is flat, with departure, arrival and passage at the end of each lap, on the Nissena athletics track of the Pian del Lago “M. Tomaselli”. The competitions in the rookie categories will instead take place entirely on the athletics track.
