Sexual assault appears to be behind Pietro Costanzia di Costigliole’s attack on the boy whose leg was amputated in Turin. Defended by the lawyer Wilmer Perga, yesterday the 23-year-old nobleman arrested on March 21st for having hit a peer with a machete told the prosecutors Mario Bendoni and Davide Pretti. The story begins in December in Turin. The boy who will be attacked three months later, his girlfriend and a friend, who is also Costanzia’s girlfriend, are sleeping in a house. After the night, in which nothing happens, the victim’s girlfriend leaves. And at that point, according to the count, the young man pulls down his underwear, shows his genitals to the girl and tries to have sex with her.
“He showed her his genitals,” says Costanzia. The girl refuses and runs away but she doesn’t tell her boyfriend anything. Some time later she spills the beans. And in March the attack began. Costanzia also contests the charge of attempted murder. Because she, she says, she just wanted to hurt the boy. And she, she says, she didn’t use a machete but a cutlass. She then threw it in a dumpster. Meanwhile, yesterday the review court confirmed the prison sentence for his brother Rocco, defended by Giuseppe Del Sorbo. He said he didn’t know his brother had a gun on him.
