Ferrari, the announcement about Leclerc freezes the fans: they all feared it

It hasn’t been a good start to the season for Charles Leclerc. The situation is now clear and is not the most favorable for the Monegasque

The season of Formula 1 runs fast towards the fifth appointment of the year. Over the weekend we will race in China, on the Shanghai circuit, after four Grands Prix that are all in the name of predictions, except one. Only in Australia, Red Bull disappointed the expectations of fans and team, with Verstappen’s retirement and Sergio Perez’s fifth place.

A result in stark contrast to the three doubles achieved in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Japan. On the other side there is a Ferrari growing and, this year, is proving to be the second force in the championship thanks to overtaking Mercedes and Aston Martin in the standings.

The Australian double, combined with third and fourth place in the GP in Bahrain, Leclerc’s podium in Saudi Arabia and third and fourth place in Japan, confirm the excellent work carried out by the Maranello team in the pre-season, inevitably conditioned by the news of the Hamilton’s arrival in 2025.

Ferrari, Leclerc is not happy: the reason

However, all that glitters is not gold. Inside the Ferrari garage there is someone who is not particularly satisfied. It’s about Charles Leclerc. As in the best stories, the announcement of Lewis Hamilton’s arrival and the consequent farewell to Ferrari galvanized Carlos Sainz who, looking for a new team for next year, is giving his best.

This is confirmed by the victory in Australia and the placing ahead of Leclerc obtained in Japan. A situation that is making Charles himself nervous. The Monegasque, although confident of a contract with Ferrari for the next few seasons, is not happy with his performances.

It was also confirmed Vitantonio Liuzzi, former Formula 1 driver, who spoke to Cusano News 7. “I didn’t expect to see Charles Leclerc under so much pressure and difficulty. Sainz’s performance is suffering, who will leave at the end of the season, and Hamilton will arrive. Leclerc will therefore have an important workhorse at his side. I hope Charles can find himself again, it would be fundamental for the balance of the team“, commented Liuzzi.

We’ll see if in Shanghai, between the Sprint Race and the Race, Leclerc will be able to turn the situation around and take the lead at least over his teammate.
