Rome, a ton of hashish seized in a basement

Rome, 19 April 2024 – The important activity carried out by the State Police continues, with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, aimed at removing large quantities of narcotic substances from the market and bringing individuals involved in drug-related crimes to justice.

The investigators of the III District Fidene-Serpentaraduring a service to combat drug dealing, they went to a woman’s house in via Acqualagna to carry out a check.

Once inside the apartment, the operators surprised a woman, identified as a 51-year-old Italian, who had hidden a total of around 1 ton of narcotic substances in the compartment under the stairs and in a completely full freezer, consisting of blocks of hashish, as well as various packaging materials. The officers ascertained that the woman, from the sale of that quantity of drugs, he would have earned over 10 million euros.

At the end of the ritual activities, the 51-year-old was arrested as she was seriously suspected of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs.
