The Cosenza won 4-0 against Reggiana at the “Mapei Stadium-Città del Tricolore” in the first match of the 34th matchday of the Serie B championship. In the 6th minute the guests took the lead with a header from D’Orazio following a wonderful assist from Tutino. In the 8th minute Sampirisi’s cross from the attacking midfield goes to Pieragnolo who heads it over the crossbar. Viali’s team starts to press again and in the 43rd minute Tutino hits the post after a splendid personal move. Immediately afterwards the rossoblù striker scores with a surgical right-footed shot to the bottom corner (15th goal in the championship for him). At the start of the second half Zuccon’s powerful right foot from the edge, Satalino takes refuge in the corner. On the following corner kick, an important save was made by the Granata goalkeeper following a close-range header from Meroni. On the opposite side, a striking touch in the area by Okwonkwo for the substitute Gondo, a right foot fouled out by Venturi. Portanova enters the Reggiana ranks and in the 64th minute he touches the post with a strike from twenty metres. Free kick from Pajac with the left foot from a good tile, Micai doesn’t risk it and deflects it for a corner. In the 73rd minute, Gondo’s sudden right-footed shot from a good position, a far from simple response from the rossoblù goalkeeper. In the 82nd minute Cosenza scored the hat-trick with a strike from Forte following a lateral free kick from Calò. In the 90th minute, Forte finally closed the score with a powerful left-footed shot deflected by Mercandalli (fourth goal of the championship for the Ascoli-owned striker). First success for Viali since his return to the Calabrian bench, with the Wolves rising to 39 points in the standings, -1 from Reggiana who suffered their third defeat in a row.

The Palermo drew 0-0 against Parma at the “Barbera” stadium in the match valid for the thirty-fourth day of the Serie B championship. First half with very few scoring opportunities. Shortly after half an hour, a bad injury for Di Mariano who leaves the pitch on a stretcher, but Buttaro comes on in his place. The guests became dangerous between the 39th and 40th minutes, first with Di Chiara and then with Delprato. The pace was slow even at the start of the second half, with the hosts struggling to worry the yellow-blue defence. In the 68th minute, Charpentier crosses the ball and gets lost on the outside of the net. Man also tries, Pigliacelli doesn’t risk it and saves himself for a corner in the bagher. In the 77th minute Di Francesco passes it into the area for Buttaro who shoots badly wide from an excellent position. In the final, another attempt from distance by Di Chiara who doesn’t have good luck. It ends without goals, with Parma consolidating the top of the table with 70 points and Palermo remaining sixth at 52 ahead of the next home match against Reggiana.
